It is getting more and more difficult to type on an evening, in fact days aren't much better.. I currently use my mobile more than the pc as it's touch screen and easier on the hands then a keyboard, also I can type silently at night and not disturb my lovely missus.. Thing is, it's becoming harder to use this.. It's causing a lot of stress on the wrists, hands and elbows because I'm having to hold it close enough to see the screen...
I'm fed up with it tonight... I can't sleep but gonna have to pack in typing for now.
Any spare ipad or similar gratefully accepted. Failing that, cash donations lol.

Sorry, I'm rambling.. Just a tad fed up..

Calling it a night..

Never mind Tony, i thought about sending you a pile of cash to buy a new one then i thought NO. Its a bugger mate touch wood i havent had any problems typing for a couple of years now. Dont know what the answer is. what about one of those typing programs where you talk and PC types i tried one years ago it was pretty near useless but i believe they are good now.
    Take care

I can sympathise Tony. My old heavy laptop was getting to the point where I just didn't want to use it. I could barely lift it and if I wanted to type for any length of time it was murder.

I am eternally grateful to my hubby for getting me my iPad as a massive surprise Christmas pressie. There's a few things I can't do on it but I don't even notice those anymore.

Sometimes Apple sell refurbished ones on their website for cheaper so it's worth taking a look.

How about getting some voice software like Julie did? If noise is a problem, can you go into a different room?
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    thanks folks..
Colin, if you change your mind about the lump sum PM me asap

Sticky, I know it would help but the bed is the only place I can find enough comfort, plus I'm usually posting late in the hope of being able to get tired enough to nod off lol.

    Thank you though

    Morning Tony,

You poor thing! I can relate right now. My laptop has died and gone to heaven, so I'm using a spare old one and it's harder work on my hands. I would highly recommend trying the speech to text software. Some of them aren't too pricey. I used to use one at college and it was fab. With regards to the ipad, my sis has one and she lets me borrow it (when she's not there and doesn't know!!!) and I find it really hard work because of having to hold it.

Anyway, ramble ramble. Keep buying lottery tickets, eh? x

    Thank you both.. :D
Star... You can get covers for them that double as a stand, my daughter has one and it's pretty cool.
As for the speech, would be no good on a night, the missus trying to sleep and all she can hear is my Yorkshire Blokey accent shouting at it saying... "Ecki thump" over n over till it learns it lol..
