    Interesting if i had a metal hip i would be talking to my GP

    I know someone who is having problems with a metal hip, mostly she can hear a grinding noise. She is waiting for the results of an x-ray. It is very worrying for anyone in this boat.

    I've got one of the 'dodgy' ones but despite telling them constantly that it's painful and that it makes odd noises, no one wants to know. I managed to get an x-ray once but when I tried to get the results it was impossible to get an appointment to discuss it.

    I've given up trying now. If it goes kaput then they will have to fix it.
