Hello all,

for the past few days under my shoulder blade left has been sore-as if some one hit me with a cricket bat, Woke today and i could not even get dressed or put my own socks on but I carried on and got ready for work..Husband demanding I called in sick.
As a stuborn person i drove towork through the pain only to end up crying at my Desk. I made an appointment at Dr's and he has prescribed me 4 different tablets to relax the Muscle as he said i have a spasm that was making my back like a hunchback.

3 Chemists later no one stocks dexketoprofen so the Lovley Lady at a certain Chemist has managed to roder for PM delivery today..

I have packed husband back off to work as there is nothing he can do but watch me cry in agony..im currently trying to cope hence on laptop trying to cheer myself up and convince my brain NO PAIN but flip me pink dexketoprofen can be delivered quick enough Never had it but the pharmacy woman said its so rare thats why they dont stock..

I hope due to them being Rare they work as even breathing hurts....

How did i spasum my Muscle????????? Dont Know
I hate having to be sick from work and admit defeat!!

anyhow hope you guys are AOK xxxx

That does sound very painful and I hope they get the meds soon. Full marks for trying distraction. It doesn't work anything like as well as we'd like but it does help a little and every bit is welcome in such situations. I hope some of the other meds will take the edge off it.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I get it in my neck but never my shoulder blade. That must be sooo painful. I hope you get the med and it works. I take robaxin (methocarbomol sp?) and find that effective. I also use heat.

Hope it eases soon for you.

Hiya tuppie, do you have fibro? I'm just wondering cos I get a fair amount of muscle spasms from mine, one of the worse being under my shoulder blade (that's where it feels like it is, like right underneath). I've been given baclofen recently and this really helps.

I really hope you get some relief soon as its just sooo painfully, annoyingly, horribly frustrating.

Hello tuppie, how are things today? I hope the rare med arrived and is helping. I have managed to tweak some rub muscles and it's horrid - breathing is uncomfy and as for sneezing and coughing - . A coughing fit caused the original trouble then I caused further damage in twisting too far to reverse my car onto the drive. Ouch. :( If lorry drivers can reverse their enormous vehicles by just using wing mirrors then surely I could do the same with a Micra. Nope. I've gotta learn though so I think I'll trot off to a huge car park and practise where there's loads of space!

These sorts of pains are so difficult to cope with. Every single little movement sends a shaft of pain which is breathtaking in its intensity. It's far from pleasant as we all know. I do hope that things are easing now. Take care. DD

Hi Tuppie, I suffer with muscle spasms all over body but the main obvious ones are in my legs & arms. You can see them when they happen and they have been plaguing me this week. I know how they have been hitting you and how scary it must have made you feel when it started for the 1st time. Even now when it happens to me I feel so depleated and just want to cry. So your not alone and if you ever want to PM (private message) me please do so anytime.
