I have been having a lot of pain behind my newest knee for about 5 weeks now.At my check up 2 weeks ago was told this was normal although i never had this pain with my first tkr. When massaging back of knee Tuesday felt a small lump, then on Wednesday night bruise appeared.I went to physio on thursday and she phoned advice line they got back on Friday morning i will be going to hospital on monday so they can check it out.It could be a cyst will have to wait and see just thought i would try to find out if anyone else had suffered from this problem.Would appreciate pocket duties from my arthritis friends. xx

Ouchies diamond, hope it gets sorted. I'm trying to read up about everyone's TKR experiences as I will be getting one, if not both done soon.

I’ve not had this after a TKR but I think you’re doing the right thing, diamond, in getting it checked out straight away. I hope whatever it is, there is a quick, simple, painfree solution and I’ll be with you this morning.

That's reassuring and I'm pleased. Do let us know how it all pans out and I hope it's nothing much.

Had a bakers cyst rupture 2 years ago. Turns out was the start of an RA flair and start of my love/hate relationship with methotrexate.

Worst thing for me was having to take warfirin for 2 weeks as a precaution even though they were certain it wasn't a blood clot.

Must have been because of my age!!!

Sorry not really adding to the thread as it wasn't related to TKR.

    Good luck
