Has anyone taken Diazepam with Co-codamel?

My GP gave me Diazepam to try to relax the muscles a few weeks ago when I was having trouble with nerve pain in my back and legs. It was not as bad as it is now and eased off within a couple of days without me having to take them.
As I am in a lot of pain atm I am considering trying them as well as the Co-co's and Gabapentin.
My question is - I am quite spaced out on the Co-co's and Gabapentin, how will it affect me if I take muscle relaxants as well?
Have any of you taken this combination?

Yes, but it did pretty much knock me out. Could you try takinga small dose and testing the water, so to speak?Twenty-something mother, home educating my wonderful son and currently TTC.

Hi, yes I had to do this recently, when I pulled a muscle rather badly in my side....as if the OA isn't enough to cope with!!
My GP prescribed Diazepam as it is a muscle relaxant, but only for a few days.
Yes it did knock me out, but as I was finding it difficult to turn in bed, it was a relief to be getting some sleep.
If your gp prescribed them, then they must be happy for you to take both.
Take care

Hi there...
Yes - I have been taking diazepam & codine for a couple of years now... My GP is very good, she prescribes me codine 15mg & 30mg and paracetamol separately - so I can almost self prescribe (NOT IDEAL FOR EVERYONE...!! But she know's that this is best for me...) The diazepam I take are 2mg tablets PRN (When required) they are easier than having 5mg or 10mg.. it enables me to take a small dose or a larger dose if I need to....
ONCE AGAIN, I must say this is not an ideal situation for everyone... But my GP is quite happy that I know what my body needs...
Some days I don't need any diazepam and others 5 or 6 tablets.. depends on the day ect...
Had a very bad day on Wednesday felt as though I has razor blades or barbed wire in my knees so the extra codeine & diazepam was very helpful.....
BUT BE AWARE - you know your body... DO NOT drive if you feel at all dozy ect...
Good Luck.. and always speak with your GP for advise if your unsure..xhugs freesia xxx0 -
I have taken both together too, (diazepam 2mg PRN) without any problems. I haven't needed many though and haven't taken the two together regularly.
If you have multiple medical problems it sometimes takes multiple drugs at once to sort the symptoms.
Hope this helps.

This is what I have too, I prefer to have the ability to control how much I take, obviously within the safe limits per dayTwenty-something mother, home educating my wonderful son and currently TTC.

Hi,
I took a fall 6 days after a spinal injection and my Doc gave me 2mg Diazepam 1, 3 times a day but like the other's you become aware and more sensible with your needs.

flourexetine 20mg - 2 a day
20mg omneprezole 1 a day
Naproxen 500mg 2 a day
3.75mg Zopiclone a night if i really can't sleep.
So yeah listen to your body it speaks volumn's
