But i showed him my feet.I have bunions on both feet, big toes and little toes , i'm so lucky  But my left foot big toe is going south , so next stop back to rheumy clinic next month , Dr Sat thinks i may need an operation  The bones have already started to deteriorate , so i am hoping i will get Miss Sott doing the op (if i need one ) as we have lost the best Surgeon in london , Mr Edwards , He's moved to Thirsk :(

Oh dear! I think on balance that's bad news though, if they're upping your meds, I think that's probably good given how things have been for you.

I'm sorry about the bunions. I see you are being incredibly greedy and going for the full house  They are a classic source of jokes but can be very painful. Whatever you decide to do, or not do, about them, Karen, I hope they can help you somehow and I'm sure you'll be able to deal with it.

The meds are helping a lot :) i was walking like i had pooped myself  These bunions are on the sides of your big toe and swell into great balls hard ones and look unsightly i have always had skinny feet and they have always looked knobbly to me anyway .I will survive this and always know you folks are here to help cope with the bad days .I must admit i am lucky i do not suffer as most do on this forum .

Oh dear, you have proper, grown-up bunions and I am so sorry. I know that some very famous people have them but I think that's due to their stupid habit of wearing high-heels (you're a short a**e, get on with it, how about trying developing a personality? ) and it serves them bl**dy well right. Twerps. My Ma has a couple of corkers on her big toes, they were caused by only having one pair of shoes in her formative years but I gather they can be caused by other means rather than wearing ridiculous footwear or shoes that are too tight.

There's no easy answer, Fowls, I am so sorry that you have this on top of everything else. I am sure you will cope with this setback, you have the right attitude. Take care. DD

Bunions arent always caused by high heels/narrow shoes...Ive always worn sensible footwear, never anything that nipped or contorted my feet....Ive ended up with one on lttle toe and they reckon its cos I walk funny, my gait and wore some birkenstocks which apparently didnt give my feet enough support...Didnt wear them long either, about 10-14days and got rid of them when they caused irriation...The likes of posh spice squeezes her feet into awful footwear so not surprised she has them..

So your going to have to have an op on feet, I hope you get the Doc you want to do it and a date comes in quick so you can get it done quickly. And as for meds how you getting on with the increase? Hope it helps.

Oh Elaine, you do make me smile. :) Believe it or not I am fully aware that bunions have a range of causes, as you will note I said that I thought those of VB and her ilk were attributable to their ridiculous footwear. My poor Ma's were caused by only having one pair of shoes for three years - she grew, they didn't. (That's poverty in the 1920s for you.) As for your bunionette (I think that is the correct term for a small bunion, it's rather sweet isn't it?) who knows what has caused it? Rest assured we are fully aware of the distress this is causing you, then factor in the sheer horror of wearing bulky and unsughtly footwear which will destroy your appearance and feminimity, well it's no wonder you are so upset. I didnt say you werent aware did I? Was just saying that not everyone who has done things wrong be it self inflicted or something they had no choice in sometimes nature can be cruel...
I dont think it is a cute name for tailors bunion and as for it having to do with my appearance and feminity, well how wrong you are with that assumption....As for your other remarks, judgement is a good call to make when you know someone well enough....

How are you doing, Karen? Are the increased meds helping yet or haven't you got that far?
