It was a great break but a very long journey,we left nottm at 7 in the morning and didnt get to hotel in Ireland till gone 10 at night, glad i took cushion with me,we did have a break every 2 hours, just wanted to lay down when we got there.first day we went to the giants causeway, really amazing we took the scenic coast road on the way back to hotel which was another long journey but it was beautiful, wed we went to dublin which is like any other big city, thurs it was belfast ,we had a tour guide on the coach with us its now a very big bustling city but the wall is still there and the gates that seperate the people are still shut at night, houses have metal grills at the windows and some have flame retardent tiles on the roof,we also went to the new titanic museum fantastic place but you need to be fit to do the whole tour and have a lot more time than we did.The next day it was time to set off for home by this time i was dreading the trip back as i was aching from head to foot.We left at 0 past 6 and got back in nottm at 8 .30 in the evening.Yes a very long tiring break but thoroughly enjoyable.Hope you have all been as good as you can be .Mig

Sorry to say i didnt think it was anything special, though they do have a very nice statue of Molly Malone,it was clean and litter free but it was very expensive as they have the euro and the exchange rate is pants. We did a tour with a guide he wasnt very good and kept coughing all the time, maybe if he was better we might have enjoyed it more.Mig

I'm glad you enjoyed it, mig, though, selfishly, it's nice to have you back. I hope the joints will recover asap.

I'm pleased you enjoyed your break Mig. Quite a journey though.
When I went to Dublin many years ago it was cheaper than the north and people used to come across the border to do their shopping. Now is the other way round. Rest up...you need it. May
