So now ive got to wait a week while they grow the cultures to se if there is an infection
I dread tomorrow as my leg will hardly move now and is quite painful also

    Hi Eileen

I feel your pain! A few years ago, after several knee surgeries I had to undergo all kinds of tests including knee aspirations - one a week for three weeks, and each time I had to go into theatre (so theatre conditions of no food from midnight, hospital for 7:45am then waiting around for slot!) It's no fun lol
I remember the first time my surgeon did it post TKR, he told me he'd have to take me to surgery for the sterile environment but he wasn't entirely truthful about the local anaesthetic.... until we were in theatre then he told me he couldn't use one as it may contaminate the fluid!! It's a good job we have such a good relationship lol
My Rheumy when I was younger never gave me any options but stupidly I always got him to do both knees at the same time as well as injecting them with steroids lol.
I hope you're not too sore tomorrow - could you put something warm on it to ease the pain - get your feet up, you've got good reason xxx

At least that's that out of the way. It's progress.

Ouchies, poor you. Try to rest up and take things easy for a few days. Here's hoping there's no infection.
