Hi everyone,
Well after my fall in the bath i have since got 2mg Diazepam to go with my cocktail and was sent for x-rays on my thoracic and cervical. She felt my back and said it was like an ironing board
Turns out i have wide spread spondylotic changes on my thoracic.
And my c5-c6 is not looking good with a narrowing and shift the wrong way only a mild bend at the moment and osteophytes too.
So the osteoarthritis is riddling my whole spine.
What a load of c**p that is for me to look forward too!!!!
Well my fall in the bath has made it clear to me now and i have the answers i needed to know now i have to learn to live with this now i realise what demon it is that sits on my shoulder.

I'm sorry. It's been a tough time for you, Lexy. I'm afraid I've no words of comfort as my back is relatively unscathed but I hope some of our 'back people' will be along soon. I'm also sure you'll cope. We all do, one way or another. (())If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Oh Lexy I am sorry...I am currently waiting for more spine injections,
It come to something when it takes a fall to get some answers, not sure if you have had physio, but I have been given exercises to do, and they really do loosen the back.
I hope you can get some help very soon ,just one thing if you get nerve pain down your legs from the back, then I take gabapentin or there is pregabalin.
You take care xxLove

Lexy, I hope you are recovering from your fall in the bath. I have spondylosis in my neck and DDD in my lower spine so can empathise. I find muscle relaxants useful, I take robaxin and also gabapentin helps me.
You could ask OT to help out with some aids in your bathroom for your safety. Apologies if you have this already. Last thing you need is another fall and they are really helpful.
Trouble with spine is not always a lot they can do. Physio can help with exercises and massages and acupuncture to keep things flexible.

hi lexx,
thats rubbish news, but a bit of info that may or may not help!
changes seen on xray don't always correspond with the amount of pain a patient exhibits so although your show extensive changes it doesn;t necessarily mean you will have massive pain from them- just a bit of research i'm aware of so thought i'd pass it on.x0 -
