Meth question

Hi everyone,

I am currently taking Meth by injection have been on this now since January.

When I intially started taking the Meth by injection I did have a bit of an upset tummy but this settled down a few weeks after.

I have now had a recurring upset the tummy for a few days after I have done the injection, this has been going on for a few weeks now.

I'm wondering if I should mention this to the doctor or does anyone have any advice or have had this before?

Personally i would mention it to the doctor,i had to come off meth because of blood tests but i felt sick 7 days a week with meth which was sad because it was working for me.Mig

Do you have a rheumatology helpline? They'd probably be the best to give advice. I get on OK with the tablets so I've never done the jabs. I don't even know if stomach protecting pills would help against jabs but I'd guess not. You're not on any other stuff that might cause it are you?

I take folic acid the day after, not on any other painkillers apart from the odd paracetamol.

I have a routine doctor appointment in 2 weeks so I am going to mention it to him then. I certainly can't put up with the upset tummy for much longer as its not very pleasant.

So, it's not any other meds then. I know the folic acid dose - given to minimise side-effects - varies enormously. I take mine twice a week and always have done. Some seem to take it virtually every day except meth day.

You GP will be able to prescribe something to help with the stomach but he can't alter the meth dose - only the rheumatologist can do that.
