‎'Doing Sport Differently' is a guide written by and for people with lived experience of disability or health conditions and covers the benefits of sport and fitness, how disabled people can get involved - whether playing, watching or coaching. It's not just for the next Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, but for everyone! With the Paralympics fast approaching it's the perfect time to get inspired and get involved.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Elna, what have you done :o I've just been motivated to contact my local Disability Cricket site. I did explain my age, inability to hold a proper bat or bowl a proper ball, walk (let alone run) much or even stand for long but, if you don't ask you don't get. Watch this space.

Stickywicket - it sounds like you are overqualified for the Australian national side already! Do let us know how you get on. LV xx

Oh LV that is very dangerous talk! Please don't tempt fate! Oz and England seem to have currently swapped roles but the Aussies don't stay down for long.

(I've not heard anything yet. I suspect the guy is desperately contacting Health & Safety!)

It's a constant battle field in my house which is half aussie (slightly less than half as 2 of the the dogs and the cat help keep the english side up)..they even lost on his birthday! I'm enjoying a chance to finally go 'look how much better England are'. I suspect that smile will be wiped from my face next year though!
