Was reading Health section of Daily Mail today and there was an interesting article on Sjogrens - and a new trial being carried out by Arthritis Research UK to see if Rituximab can help. I have included the link below for anyone who is interested - it's a good article if you ignore the daft headline - "dry body syndrome" indeed  .

That sounds good, Tilly. Did you know this when you went onto retux or is it just a happy coincidence? I do hope it helps.

    Thanks for your replies peeps.

Sticky, when I first started on the Ritux the rheumatologist mentioned that there was some interest in whether it might also help Sjogrens but it was realy just a "happy coincidence".

Suzy, the jury is out as to whether it is helping the Sjogrens so far. But one of the reasons for delaying my dry eye op was to see if/how much the Ritux helps first. Nobody medical seems to be able to advise me on this so my plan is to wait a few months post Ritux infusion and see how it goes. But I have to say that my eyes do seem to be more comfortable the past few days so maybe, just maybe .....

I know that there is little that can be done currently to help Sjogrens, bar trying to manage all the individual symptoms so it would be brilliant if Rituximab was found to help people.
