I can't cope with the pain any longer.
Both knees and my back are on fire. I can't bend either knee without excruciating pain so this in turn is aggravating my back. I have the new fentanyl patches on but I'm resorting to using the Zomorph at the same time just to get a tiny bit of relief. I can barely hobble round the house. I'm so depressed about it. I've not even been down the field to see my horse which kills me cos i have always been there for him. I want to play catch with my puppy in the garden cos she's so much fun and loves catch games but I can only hobble out and watch my son play with her whilst I sit on a chair.
Life's so not fair. Self indulgent post over for now. Sorry.

You are absolutely right, Fols. You don't normally do this.
I don't normally do this either but sometimes it has to be done (((())))If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

and a good dollop of YBH's from me too hun.
I hope it settles soon..
Is it a fresh patch? I just changed mine this evening and every now and then they seem to take a while to kick in. other times they're in straight away.

I'm so sorry you're feeling so bad. I think it gets to us all every now and then.
It may not feel like it at the moment, but, (as our DD would say) "this will pass".
In the meantime, we are here to support you, just as you have supported many of us in the past.
Wishing you well,
Numpty0 -
We all need to do it from time to time. No shame in it. Constant pain grinds you down.
Sorry it has overwhelmed you at present.

A self indulgent post is fine when there is justification youre going through a tough time to dont you worry whatsoever...We all do it from time to time when we reach our limits...
Hope this eases for you and can only offer hugs...

How's things today, Fols? ((()))If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks everyone. I really hate having to give in and it's just not me to sit around and vegetate. I can feel the weight coming on and I'm paranoid they won't do my knees until I've lost some, which is impossible for me without exercise. Catch 22 situation.
Morning sticky. Had a lovely lie in this morning as my son got up early and made Dads lunchbox and fed the animals. He's such a great kid. He's off on hols with his grandparents today for 2 weeks and I shall miss his company dreadfully. I miss being able to do things with him too.
This pain has been going on and getting worse now for several weeks, although I don't think the patches work either. I have a docs appointment in a couple of weeks to discuss them so will see what he has to say.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Heya mig hun.
Without wishing to jinx it but I do believe there's a strange bright light in the sky. Makes me feel a bit brighter but I am sat in my front room watching all my mates going off for a ride on such a lovely day and it makes me feel sad. I would love to go out on my boy and have a blast up the hill. Oh well, keep saying to myself, it's not forever.

I'm sorry about the horse thing, Fols. I never had my own but I do agree that, seeing the others setting off in high spirits on a sunnmy day must be very discouraging. I hope you'll be able to ride yours soon.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Fols,
Sorry you're in so much pain. Is it worth trying to bring forward your appointment at all? Another fortnight seems a very long time to wait.
Sending gentle hugs,

Thanks soooo much ppl.
I'm a tiny bit more positive and telling myself this is not forever. It will get better once the old knees are replaced and hopefully the back thingy will help too.
I wish the sun would shine a bit more as that does make the old bones feel a bit better.
I'm really grateful for all your support and thoughts and hugs.
