Dental Treatment with a fused Jaw - Part 2

Hi everyone!
Thought you might like to know how I got on with my dreaded dental treatment!
On Thursday I had the 1st of two back teeth removed, and boy was it awkward! My GP gave me some Diazipam to help with my fear, but I have to say, the Dentist (and his nurse) were amazing! I don't know how, but he managed to get the broken tooth out in one piece, AND I didn't need stitches in my gum (which he'd said I might). He likened the extraction to 'keyhole surgery' because of my fused jaw, and there was an awful lot of pulling and tugging whilst the nurse held my head still. I'm still in a bit of pain, and I resemble a lop-sided hamster, but I have no qualms about going back in 2 weeks and having the other one removed!
Thanks to everyone who gave me encouragement when I posted my worries in May - I appreciate it. You are all wonderful!

Wow! you are brave, well done.
I'm very pleased it went well. It's good when you trust your dentist. I hope all goes well at your next appointment.
Wishing you well,

Well done, Sanmar! That's very impressive. I'm so pleased it went well and you feel so much happier about the next one. I have to say, if it had been Mr SW, they'd have had to give him a general just to get him in the door. And I feel quite reassured that, if ever I need such treatment, it should be OK because my jaw doesn't open wide. (This is a family joke!) Thanks for posting and please let us know how the other goes. I think you're very brave. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
