Hiya,
Yes - good news for once.
We started doing the Health Lottery about 4-6 weeks ago and this weekend we've won 50 quid! Brilliant!
Now - how do I spend this and technically is it 'mine' to spend? They were my numbers but it was my partner's 'turn' to pay for the entry ... Answers on a postcard please.

P.S. More good news - have been in my new job for a week. It's going really well; lovely people and I'm thoroughly enjoying myself. G.

Cor! A whole fifty smackers - well done! So, your numbers but they paid: that's a tricky one - half each? As for the job well, that is also good news, I am pleased it's going well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

thanks DD. Have I really got to give him half? Can't we 'skew' it in my favour a bit?

Hmmm, tricky. He stumped up the cash - you the numbers. OK, 70/30 in your favour but from here on in do your own - that way the cash is ALL YOURS. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Firstly, congratulations. Secondly - difficult. I'd keep him sweet. Spend it on something for both of you.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Why does it need to be yours or his ? Couldn't you spend it on a treat for both of you like a meal or trip out that you can both enjoy ? Jillyb0

Yeah
Well done i'm really Happy For you0 -
Happy days-glad things are good for you! I'd vote for a lovely meal out-win, win situation, yummy food and no chores to go with it. What ever you choose to do enjoy it!0

Congrats !
Now a question for you - what if it was the other way round? i.e. your money, his numbers?
Or: half the money on a 'budget' cheap meal out for you both so neither of you cook or do the washing up and the remainder of the money on something new for you to wear to your new job (guessing the new job is more money and/or better terms) which will obviously be a gain for both of you,
or: use it for the next few weeks to pay your lottery and hope that it proves more lucky (they say it comes in three's) so fingers crossed for you.

thanks everyone. Great ideas here. Think we're gonna go for the meal out option with the left overs spent on nibbles we wouldn't normally indulge in.
