Rubys 1st garndchild due today Monday 16th

Hi everyone
1st Grandchild due today ....but deja vu ! no signs yet.

Lindas thread has kept me going for the past week, now finding it a little nerve racking as I am the main birthing partner (its my daughter who is pregnant).. bags all packed etc. room ready.

We dont know what kind it is yet but got a couple of boy and a couple of girl outfits in the bag along with lots of white things.
we may get AC twins or triplets at this rate.

Still thinking of what to be called! so far nana with my surname is favourite it has a good ring to it.

My girls, (they're 22 and 27 now) have always called their grandparents Nana christian name, and Grandpa christian name. This was because my mother-in-law, wanted to just be called by her christian name, but that didn't feel right.

I hope yours has a better sense of timing that Legs', Ruby. Mine both arrived early and ravenous.

As for what they call you - just don't do what an ex-neighbour of mine did. her kids referred to 'my nice grandma' and 'my nasty grandma' :shock:

Any signs of labour and you'd better let us know before you both go to the hospital, that'll keep us all on a knife's edge.

I shall be watching and waiting for your Grandbaby news now ....................though I have a feeling your little person might arrive before mine

Numpty my surname sort of rhymes! so thats the reason for thinking of that...but its not definite.

Hope you don't have to wait too long Ruby our Legs must have worn out her carpet by now.Best of luck to your daughter you will very much enjoy your role as nana he or she will melt your heart.I have two grandaughters and a new grandson only 4 weeks old they cheer me up.

We have to start a thread for bets....who's grandchild will be the first to appear.... 10p on babylegs....last of the big spenders me... my dil is having a sweep next Monday...so I might be in with a chance.

Barbara she may have a sweep at next appt which is Thursday...she was un decided but I think she is getting a bit fed up now.
