As usual I'm way off the ball. The only Winnetka I know of is the district in Los Angeles where my grandson's nursery lies.

    LL

    Bette Midler???
Listen to the version by the Asylum Street Spankers.
It's a drum and string bass duo that is brilliant for
grandchildren to hop around to. And, of course, there
is always the third movement of Mahler's first symphony.

    SW

The leader of the above band introduces it as a tune from
    Chicago.

I'm still a bit lost, Ichabod, but I'm always up for the 3rd movement of Mahler's 1st.

    Hello SW,

In this family that particular movement is known as
"nana's and grandad's expecting tune" and it has
    always worked for us.

Maybe you should suggest to Legs and Ruby that their daughters-in-law listen to it

    sw,

I've already told Linda with the legs about this.
    Whilst listening smile at each other constantly;
it's good practice for later on.
And have a drink; Joan used to have a large slug
of red wine and I had a can or two of Boddingtons.
