Sweet Pickled Onions.

I want one, preferably two. NOW. We have none in the house and the Co-op is closed. The local petrol station doesn't sell them. Sainsbriz is too far away and I cannot drive at the moment thanks to dodgy wrists. Aaaaaaagh! Right, distraction techniques it is. A spring onion dipped in malt vinegar will have to do. I can close my eyes and pretend . . . . . . . . DD

Some of you are rotten swines with your teasing and tempting - especially you, Frogmorton. Barbara, I apologise for triggering your tastebuds though a chunk of raw red cabbage is pretty good in my book but no, it's not a sweet pickled onion. I hadn't thought about a gherkin - I must buy some! And val, I'm sorry but I don't like chip shop chips. The spring onion dipped in malt vinegar was nearly enough. Now it's time for ice cream. From one extreme to another. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Chocolate or strawberry for me
Mr Fowler ate all of the pickled onions and still has not put them on the shopping list :roll:0 -
They undoubtedly make the aches and pains worse but there are times when nothing but a pickled onion will satisfy the taste buds. It struck again this morning so I walloped back a couple of teaspoons of Branston. The craving has passed. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
