Hi
Sorry I'm late getting online but having problems with my computer.
I saw the consultant and he went over the MRI with me......wont confirm whether it is or isnt spinal stenosis or not.
He says its very difficult to tell because my spine is twisted {kypho scoliosis} and he want s to wait until I see the back specialist and take it from there....meantime no physio or excercises except walking through water....now swimming lengthes he said
I asked for a copy of the MRI...not sure why because I'm none the wiser :lol: For anyone with any medical knowledge...here goes

It says.......Degenerative lumbar scoliosis convex towards the right. There is a prominent loss of disc height and hydration at L2/3 with less marked changes at other lumbar levels....Generalised degenerative disc bulges are present from L2/3 to L5/S, with facet joint degeneration at the lower threee lumbar levels. Discal impingement is present on the left L3 root paracentrally at L2/3, on the exiting right L4 and budding right L5 roots right centrolaterally at L4/5, and on exiting right L5 nerve root at L5/S1.

No other significant abnormality is shown

I think thats enough abnormality

Love
Hileena

I'm not that fluent in medico and I am also very, very tired. I wish I could switch of my computer without logging in! It's disappointing he won't / can't confirm but I guess you're case is somewhat complicated by the scoliosis. I'll be back tomorow with summat more coherent, in the meantime I hope you sleep well and I send these: (((()))) DD

I'll just have to wait until the back specialist sees me I suppose.
I'm a bit like you.....when I'm a bit more "with it" tomorrow I might be able to figure out bits and pieces of it
Meantime.....I have to finish packing tomorrow.....the joys of medication etcto thbink about....I find that the hardest bit of packing now

I couldn't agree more about packing meds, Hileena. It's the scariest part of packing for me. What if I don't take enough of something essential?

Anyway, I'm afraid I'm another who doesn't speak medic. All I can tell is you seem to have a back problem  At least the MRI is now done and hopefully you'll get some answers later.

    Enjoy your hols.

    Hi Hileena
I am the same with my results, cant make head nor tail of them, so I wont be much help .
I am still waiting for my second injection, think I may have to ring them again.
Hopefully your back specialist will be able to throw some light on them for you, one thing I would do is try and get a copy of the mri on disc, not sure how many trust do this, but I have a friend that has a copy of all her xrays
Good luck with it all xx
    Love

    Hi Barbara and Mig
I'm usually against googling unless they say YOU HAVE !!!!! then I would look it up.....occasionally some words I might check.
Barbara I know how you feel....you are that little bit ahead of me with these injhections. The ortho....said the back specialist would know what to do so wait for him.....it may be injections.....I immediatly thought of you.
I havent got my MRI on disc but I've got a copy {paper} of it and of the last one as well.
Nothing like being cheeky and asking :lol:

I also agree with the worry of packing meds for holiday! Should I pack a few extra? if so how many? It is the big dilemma! I usually pack 3/4 days extra and hope I woun't need to use them.
I hope you have a great holiday and try not to worry or think about the results of your M.R.I results while away! I know it's hard not to, but my OH says holidays are for relaxing and any worries and thoughts are to be filed away until you arrive back home. The only thoughts that should be in your head is what shall I have for lunch or dinner and what cocktail shall I have next! My OH is a wise man!!
