Hi Everyone,

I paid a visit to my GP this morning as I have been in a bad way all weekend because of my RA, may right knee is like the size of a house.

Anyway told the Doctor how I was feeling and my inflamation levels from my blood check last week where very high so I got given a steriod injection there and then into my bum

He is also going to write to my consultant and ask what else I can take as I don't think the Meth working anymore. But I have to stay on it in the meantime.

I have to go back and see him next month. So will see what happens, at least I feel a bit more incontrol now.

That seems to have been a good doctors appointment, though I'm sorry you're not feeling so good.
I hope the steroid injection works for you. I am always told to rest after a steroid injection, apparently they work better then.
So feet up, and take care of you.
    All the best,
    Numpty

Hope you get some relief from the steroids, they take a few days to kick in for me but always give me several weeks of relief. Maybe your rheumy will suggest another layer of treatment to add into the methotrexate- I think lots of us on here take a cocktail of dmards, and it's rather trial and error to find the cocktail that best suits you.
Try to be gentle with yourself until the steroids have chance to work.

That's what I call a result. I hope the steroids help and the rheumatologist will come up with something.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Good for you for going to the doctor, sometimes that takes more energy than we think we have. I hope the depo helps and that you soon start to feel its benefit. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
