Returning home from a short jaunt this morning I passed a house which has recently changed hands. The sitting room has a large window which used to be home to frou-frou nets, china figurines of dogs and ladies on the sill and chintzy curtains. Now? Well, now it's two life-sized cardboard (and rather faded) figures of Captain Kirk and Mr Spock. What a contrast. I don't think Laurence Llewellyn-B has moved in. DD

Our next-door neighbours used to be a young couple who did the entire house all Laura Ashley. The window ivariably contained a very elegant vase of very elegant, expensive, fresh flowers.

Now they've sold it to a lovely, happy-go-lucky single bloke. The window usually sports a clothes airer and several bits of drying underwear.

A neighbour of mine has two giant red ants, (about 2 feet tall), playing instruments, in her front window. Weird!

Boom-boom! Oh Mr Derek! Numpty, you are a shocker! DD

PS Sticky? I hope it's clean underwear, not dirty being given an airing for another week's use.
