Loving the Russian high jumper who won gold....even after losing his vest and having to wear a flapping T-shirt to make a crucial jump! He previously was drunk during a competition and couldn't even clear the bar.

Good for him!

    Oh Elizabeth I love it....saw him yesterday looking for his shirt....amazing how he jumped after all that.... :)

    He was quite a character, and boy, could he jump :!: :!: Brilliant :!:

    The high jump used to be my strongest event many moons ago. Now I couldn't jump over a twig on the ground :roll:

    He was a lucky chap! And a very good jumper! The British chap was excellent as well! :)

    It does make a mockery of the pre-jump ritual; total concentration, absolute 100% focus, aero-dynamic clothing, going through the motions and then getting fired up by encouraging the crowd to cheer you on!

    It was just such a refreshing change! :D
