i would like to thank all of you that posted on my last topic, due to you all i went to see another doctor in the practise and he showed me the mri report.....it said i have OA of the lumbar and cervical spine not wear and tear like i was told, the recommendations are that the damage is sufficient to be causing the symptoms reported by me to both arms and legs, and that i should be given anto inflammatories and painkillers to reduce the levels of pain i am having. further to this the gp said that with obvious rapid deterioration of my bones in the last 6 month he wants me to see a rheumatologist for retesting for RA ,as my last test was 3 years ago and may not be sero neg now and i am experiencing flares only controlled by prednisilone.he says i will see a rheum specialist within 4 wks with the results of the mri and they will decide on further treatment for me so once again thanx all of you I AM NOT MAD yehay

Good. I somehow missed your first post, replied then spotted this! I am so glad that someone has told you what's what so here's to further action being taken and the meds helping. We are at the mercy of individual opinion and sometimes we just have to find the energy to fight our corner. Good luck! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Well done, amet1. It's not easy to challenge these things especially when one is at one's lowest precisely because of them. You are perfectly entitles to see any doc in the practice at any time (I just see whoever's available) and, if I were you, I'd try to ensure I didn't ever see doc no1 again. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Good for you Amet...I am so pleased you went back to see another doctor, it just goes to show how hit and miss our treatment can be, quite a few of us have been in your position, so now you can put a name to what you have, and hopefully get some treatment for it.
I di wish you well xLove
