enteropathic arthritis

hi, I've recently been pretty much diagnosed with enteropathic arthritis (the rheummatologist said there was no way of diagnosing it to be sure), and he said i might also have enthesitis.
My bloods were normal when they did them, but he said it made sense.
I have pain in all the joints in my arms and legs (peripheral type), and hands and feet. He said it is usually temporary and non destructive, however Ive had this for over 4 months now. I was wondering if anyone else has this and if it went away? im worried it wont, and im in so much pain and limping about, i cant do anything or go anwhere, or walk and im really getting sick of it all. iv tried different antiinflammatories which havent helped, well one helped to start with and i thought it was working, then the pain got worse again. i only have minor swelling, i wish there was something more obvious so they could be more aggressive with the drugs, but im asking to try a different drug. anyone had these problems?
Oh I also have ulcerative colitis (for 2 years)

I'm sorry but this is a new one on me so I did what I tell everyone else notto do and googled it  - it sounds like it may be as a result of your ulcerative colitis and that, yes, indeed it might be temporary.
So far, so good. However, the pain isn't good and, if it's not at manageable levels, I can only suggest you go back and ask for a change of pain relief. I'm not sure whether or not 'more aggressive' meds would help. There's other stuff one can try ie heat, cold, distraction etc etc but sometimes it would just be nice to be rid of the whole business, wouldn't it?If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

It is because of my u.c. it says it usually only lasts a couple of months but mines been alot longer than that and seems to be getting worse. so im hoping its not the chronic type? i've tried all that. my gp says i need the stronger drug, but i cant see rheumatology until october, and i cant walk and am in agony0

Could your GP press your case with rheumatology? How far away do you live from your hospital? I'm fortunate in that mine is only a five minute drive away and I always say I can pitch up (no matter what department) if they have a cancellation - the number of times that has worked is surprising. I too struggle with walking, I can do it after a fashion (with crutches or a rollator) but it hurts. Hey-ho, c'est ma vie. I don't know anything about your health conditions but I hope you are able to get some help soon. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
