I babysat my granddaughter for the first time last night and oh am I paying the price this morning :o . Arms, hips, knees, feet all singing this morning. Loads of hugs and kisses, a bit of dancing lol and you know what it was worth every ache and pain and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Sounds wonderful :D , the babysitting that is, not the pain.

I remember that so well. Before we returned from L.A. this year, my 2 yr old grandson spent our last afternoon launching himself into my arms. I felt them for 2 weeks afterwards but did I care? Not a bit.

How old is your grandchild? They are little bundles of pure energy, lucky things - even at a few months old they can knock the stuffing out of us! I don't have any but I do have a fourteen month old who comes round on a regular basis, he's entrancing but exhausting! DD

She's seven weeks old now and so beautiful (I would say that though) and her names Mia Ella. They do brighten your day though and make you "forget" things for a while which makes the suffering after a little more bearable.

Gosh, only seven weeks old! At least she's not too heavy to lug about. I hope her parents had a lovely time with whatever they were doing and I hope you get another chance soon. DD

Same here, deedeeitsme. I look after my two every wed, 1 six year old who I take and collect from school, and one 1 year old all day. Its the nappy changing I find hard, shoes off, jeans off nappy off, bum wiped, nappy on, jeans on, shoes back on. With two sore hands/wrists, its not easy! But ive got a lovely bond with them and I wouldnt miss it for the world.

    Take care
