Our lovely Julie is due to have an MRI scan tomorrow evening. This is to check the situation with her C1 / C2 vertebrae (the odontoid peg) then she is due to see her consultant in September to discuss her next neck operation. Yup, this is a biggy.

Since having her first neck op last December she has been doing OK which is a very good thing and has led to her not being on here too much but I hope you will join me in her pocket. She is due to be fed into the scanner at around 6.45pm.

Good luck my lovely, all will be well. ((((())))) DD

Hello all you lovely people. I would just like to say thank you, a very Big thank you for taking the time to wish me well for today's MRI scan, especially as I haven't been on here for a while and for this I do apologise.

It is comforting to know that you will be there in my pocket while I am going through the scanner. I am not a fan of the MRI scan and so it looks like I am going to have to do the same as I did last time I had one. I closed my eyes and pretended I was on a beach in Spain, the trouble was that I had chosen spot where there was a construction team working on a nearby hotel

it looks like I am going to be on that same beach tonight

thank you DD for putting this thread on for me :D , and I will let you all know how the MRI went.

    Take care every body

    Love Juliepf x

Hello pink flamingo, it's lovely to hear from you! I am sure all will be OK tonight, you've had them before and you know what's what but it will pass because all things do. If that beach in sunny Spain still has construction noise going on you could always think of Southwold. DD

I've just heard from her, needless to say she's quite tired. She was in a little early (I put the wrong time :oops) but the entire scan took 40 minutes. She's now having her din-dins but hopes to pop in tomorrow to tell us all about it. DD

    Dear Julie

It is good that part is over now and I hope your dinner was tasty after your ordeal. :) MRI's are never very enjoyable but they do give the consultant good information as to what is going on.

I think of you often anyway but did not know until quickly logging on just now that your MRI had been done and dusted.

Lots of love and gentle hugs
    Elna x
