I am so tired I feel like I could sleep for a few days, barns are back to school tomorrow, so my mum came out and took me into town to get the last of there things, was also at the doctors told him how I felt and all I got was well that's what happens, as though I don't know I have a cold at the moment and asked him will I still take my methotrexate he said yes so I assume it's alright, can any of you suggest anything to help with the tiredness thanks in advance.

I'm sorry things aren't great Christimay, I think all I can suggest is the usual, pace things, plan things and rest up. Eating well and not burning the candle help for me. My rheumy nurse always tells me that if it takes three months to detox methotrexate from your system then a week off won't make much difference to your levels but I think it depends on your disease activity etc...in terms of fatigue though, I always find that a week off when I have a cold gives my body chance to fight back and that helps cope with that overwhelming tired and run down feeling. Zinc supplements seem to really boast things for me too when fighting a cold with methotrexate being unhelpful.
I'm sending you a big hug, some healing thoughts and some energy. I hope you feel better soon and if you can, run a lovely warm bath, relax and enjoy some bubbles...medicinal of course, the warmth will help clear your sinuses!
    Lots of love LV xx

If the young 'uns are back at school tomorrow, Christimay then use it to rest as much as you can.

LV has given you some good advice and I'm afraid your GP, blunt as he may be, is right. It's all part and parcel of the disease and learning how to deal with the fatigue part is a very important aspect of learning how to deal with RA.

People are given conflicting instructions as regards meth and illness. Some are told to leave it off for a week and others aren't. I've only ever omitted doses before operations but only you can decide what's best for you. Learning to rest when you can and pace yourself though is the main thing.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
