Bummer Milly! That sounds like some bad luck indeed, all that preparation and gearing yourself up! I hope it all clears up for next week. In the mean time, rest up and I hope you get well soon...how do those little bugs know how to time it so badly?! Love and hugs, LV xx

Such is life with arthritis, Milly8. I hope the cold soon goes and you fare better next time. And I hope the humira works well for you.

Ah, timing; a very tricky area. You are doing the sensible thing, Milly8. I've always been told to stop the immuno-suppresants when I have a cold or infection as they only help it to last longer and that is the last thing anyone wants. Get better soon, shift those snuffles to someone else and I hope you can start the humira sooner rather than later. DD

Thank you everyone for your kind words as always feeling much better .do you think I should wait until Tuesday when nurse said she would ring me or ring myself tomorrow.if I wait until next Tuesday to arrange new nurse visit I may not get visit until week after next. New joints are joining in the party at the moment even when not invited but that's life I guess.

Even if you ring today you may not get a visit due to the bank holiday so I would hold off until next Tuesday, that will also give the infection further time to clear so that you are really 'good to go' for the humira. Good luck! DD

    Hi Milly
I am sorry I missed this, its sods law that you get a cold on the day you start your treatment, its has though we are being tested, anyhow I am glad you are feeling a little better and like DD says its bank holiday so it is looking like Tuesday, I do wish you well with it and hope it brings lots of relief..xx
    Love

Good luck with it, Milly8. I don't know if you already have your humira in your fridge but once you are in the routine I find it helpful to remove it from the fridge about 20 minutes or so before I inject so that it warms through a little. I find this helps to reduce the 'sting' that may occur with the injection. DD

Thank you everyone.nurse phoned 1/2 hour before she came and told me to take out of fridge .injection all done and everything was fine.so I see no problems doing the rest just hopes it does it's job.

    Hi Milly

Looks like you slipt through my net, I am sorry.

Good news that you are now well :D and that you have had your injection lesson and that now you are confident to do it your self :D

I have my fingers crossed that the humira helps

    Take care
