hiring a wheelchair

Hi all

Just a quick question. Where can you hire wheel chairs to have a period of time?? I am having very major foot surgery in 6ish weeks time and won't be able to weightbare at all for three months.

    Occupational Health may also be able to help you with equipment round the house. Best to have things in place before the surgery.

    Yea OT might be good - am having my surgery in a private hospital as a NHS patient - will they have OTs there?? xxx

    Yes, you can self refer or get your gp or consultant to refer you. They are usually very helpful. :D

    I did contact the red cross, and they were very helpful, but after checking the price of hiring I decided to buy a cheap one, has I need one for much longer than the 6 weeks they were offering.
    I do hope you get sorted.

    Our Red Cross dont charge.....they just ask for a donation.
    But if you can find a cheap one go ahead.
