Well its not just for Georgie its for everyone who who feels the pain of loss
its not something i listen to a lot but i do wonder to this song from time to time. It normally has something to do with the mood and bottle of brandy.

    oh that was lovely listening to that Colin..
    i am taking my 93yrs old mother out for lunch today i will take my hubby's laptop and show her that..

    Thanks for the link. It is a year today since Dad passed away, so it is a bit of a strange day. I have been pottering and doing things to keep my mind focused without forgetting the loss, if that makes sense. My forum friends were so supportive and kind, another thing I will never forget.     Such a lovely song. l I lost my dad when I was in my thirtys, I was an only child and my dad and me were each others shadow the hurt is indescribable and the words of this song just touched my heart, I saw it on sat, and have shown it to everyone who has come in, it would be hard for anybody not to be touched by this song, thanks for sharing this with us.xx

    Hi Christimay so sad to read your words, it must have made you a stronger person.
    I was the same with my Nan peas in a pod i thought my life was over when she died. i'm still not over it but learning to live with it as you probably know. Life can be so cruel at times and songs like this can bring back so many happy memories yet make you feel so sad.

    Played it for my oh this morning started us off on Neil Sedaka songs,we were in teens when he was topping the charts.Oh is singing bits of his songs,cheers Colin he can't sing .Mig
