Hi Peeps
Had RA for 9 long years, aged 43 and suffering quite badly.
Posted my renewal for DLA two weeks ago expecting all the rigmarole and stress of having to appeal etc, Low and behold, got a letter today saying I have been given higher rate mob and care INDEFINITELY. What a quick turnaround! No doctors letters, gp reports etc. Is this a record?
Does this mean that I will still have to be reassessed again next year when the new rules come into force, not really sure what they are yet.

Take care
Les

    FANTASTIC news :D

Indefonite means just that - they will review you -no idea when but it shouldn't be anytime soon.

They did away with lifetime awards a few years ago.

Nice when one thing goes right isn't it? :D

    Love

HI, Congratulations, so nice to hear some good news from the DLA for a change.
I would have thought that as you've just been awarded it you will not be included in 2013 shake up.
