Para-olympics

Looking forward to the games,my daughter has a friend who is a para-olympian swimmer,she had to have both legs amputated at the knees when she was 18 months old ,the lower leg bones had not developed properly .Iasked her permission to tell you all her name so she could get some extra cheering it's Charlotte Henshaw she is 27 and comes from Mansfield in Notts,she swims 100m breast stroke and 400m free,she has a web site that you can look her up on it's www.charlottehenshaw.co.uk.

    Mig I am really looking forward to them,and I will wish Charlotte Henshaw good luck in her swimming ..i hope she gets a medal.....I do think the para Olympics are brilliant they put so much in to it.x

    I'll keep an eye out for that name, I promise. I'm looking forward to these games I have to say, I think our medals tally will continue to rise. DD

    Me too - I will keep my eyes open for her Charlotte is easy to remember it being my eldest's name :D

    Good luck Charlotte. Hope you get a medal. I think they are all wonderful. Some of them I know are in pain while they train so put me to shame as I don't really exercise any more. Come on Team GB. :D

    I SAW THAT ONE :D:D:D:D (evening)

    I was shouting in my chair was so excited and tried to will her to win. It was so very close. She did extremely well.

    A true celebration of athletes making the most of themselves. Murderball is something else!

    Watch the 'Last Leg' on channel 4 (is it OK to.....?) at 10ish, a good laugh!

    Its a grin, honest!
