    Hi Trayce

I hope your day went ok yesterday and I that today will too. I am out at my mums all day today but will call into the forum tonight.

One of the hardest skills to learn when living with constant discomfort is not to pay that much attention to it. If you sit and focus on the pain it hurts more, but if you are able to distract yourself in some way then the brain is busy doing something else and your perception of the pain lessens. I do puzzles, watch telly, read, come on here, even so some chores (once the cocodamol has softened the sharper bits) and, trust me, things don't hurt so badly. I hope it eases soon. DD

    Hi Trayce

Hope you have had the sunshine we have had here. I am sorry to hear that you are in pain but at least that is a positive that you are able to self refer for physio. Is this still on the NHS though?

As DD says it is good to try to do other things to take your mind off the pain but that is not always easy if one is tired a lot of the time and you do have other things to cope with too and because of the meds you already take for the other symptoms you have only been prescribed paracetamol for the arthritis.

I would strongly recommend you get referred to a pain clinic as they will know what combinations of drugs are safe for you to take and may have other ideas to help you along.

If possible do try to think of at least one positive thing every day it does help.

    Gentle hugs

I know are active, Trayce and however you are feeling there will be certain tasks that you will have to perform daily however difficult it is you. I really do sympathise. Try to think of positive things each day as this can help lift the spirits at least marginally. If you are able to really laugh at something too, that releases endorphins which gives one a good feeling. :)
