Hi just thought I`d update
Following my recent post about increased pain in my right hip, I saw my physio today who after examining me thinks I have either a labral tear in my hip or hip impingement. She says painkillers won`t help, and they aren`t! She says I need to see my surgeon for a MR Arthrogram to assess my hip internally. She feels it has deteriorated rapidly over past few weeks and thnks it will mean surgery. So I ave rung the surgeon`s secretary who will see him tomorrow and she will ring me back.
She also said to ask my GP to send for an x ray when I see them next week to check bone changes too.
So I will wait for a phone call..........

Good for you in getting this looked at sooner rather than later, don't wait too long for the phone call NB, be prepared to chase but I hope you won't need to. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

A bit of a mixed blessing, NB, but, if summat's wrong, it's best to get it fixed. I hope all goes well. Thanks for letting us know.

    Hi
Thanks everyone. I really don`t relish the thought of further surgery, but if it is a labral tear or impingement problem, some thing can probably be done . I am due back at work tomorrow, not looking forward to it, but I am going to give it a go. I will explain to my manager what is happening and hope that they can give me some leeway if needed.
God I hate bones and joints!!!!
