Hi!
I take celebrex, started a few weeks ago and it's brought down the swelling in my feet and hands a treat but doesn't do anything for the pain.
My OH who has RA used to take it and also got on well with it but was taken off it with the doc citing heart problems but then admitting it was due to high cost of drug when questioned.
Hope it works for you! Nx0 -
Hi Christimay
I've used Celebrex for years without a problem on a normal dose, they do the job nicely and I had no side effects expect when I was told to double my dose in which case they upset my stomach but it was temporary and reversed immediately when I went down to my normal dose of one in the morning and one at night. Hope that helps.

Hello Christimay,
I've been on it for 3 years with almost no problems. Lately, I've noticed my reflux is worse but an increased dose of omeprazole (stomach protector) sorted that out. I'm on the max dose of celebrex and noticed a difference when I tried to drop it down, it really does help me.
Take care.0 -
I loved Celebrex, it reduced the swelling (but didn't touch the pain because the damage was already done). I was taken off them by my GP (also citing cost) and I wasted a couple of years taken Naproxen which did nothing. Good luck with it, I hope it helps you as much as it helped me. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I am on celebrex one twice a day and have been for about 8 years after coming off arthrotec. Celebrex has worked well for me and I hope it does for you too.

I am also on celebrex and have been taking them for over a year. I dont suffer much with swelling but like DD, they dont do much for the pain. Havent noticed any side effects either.

Hi CM I've been on celebrex for over six years, due to also having osteoporosis, I don't get any side effects, my doctor did change them for a cheaper version a few years ago (which were like eating chalk) he laughed when I said I couldn't take them,he said they're fine, so I told him you take them then gr8 doctor he's retired now,he gave me back the celebrex saying I don't we try to save money you should get on OK with them CM let us know
