The good news . . . . and the rest

Well, I went to see the GP a couple of days ago for the result of the x-ray on my left knee, the good news is that there is no sign of arthritis, the not so good news is that they haven't a clue what IS wrong with it, they said the ligaments look ok but there's lots of fluid gathering around it, won't weight bear and anti-inflams having no effect at all, well, I suppose they are because my right knee is behaving reasonably well!
My lovely hubby is taking me on holiday next week, somewhere warm with sunshine and a swimming pool so the really good news is that I can sit on the edge of the pool with my knee in the water whilst drinking something nice, long and cooling!

Love to you all

H was Toni, thankyou, an absolute star and very much loved. It was lovely to be with him in the stable late on an evening before going to bed, so peaceful and soothing, but I digress, thank you for your good holiday wishes, I will be thinking of, and missing, all of you.

I’m sorry you’ve had to join our ‘indeterminates’ class, Sue. Better the devil you know and all that. However, you now have a chance to forget all about appointments and diagnoses and just enjoy that holiday as much as the knee will allow. I hope it will be kind to you.

As an ex-RDA rider, Fiddler looks gorgeous. I can tell he was very special.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Thank you Sticky

Fiddler was very special, and it was a priviledge to own him, and ride him, for all those wonderful years, I hope you enjoyed RDA, I worked with them for a while and witnessed some pretty special things.
Been watching the riding in the paralympics too, their achievements have been truly awe inspiring.

The holiday will be wonderful I'm sure, and the sunshine will help no doubt!

Go and have a lovely holiday and forget all about arthritis and us but once you come home start chasing up about this fluid. My left knee had a lot of fluid on it and no-one could tell me why - after a few years it was attributed to an inflammatory auto-immune arthritis. In your case it could be something different but it needs chasing. Have fun - and drink summat lovely for me please! DD
