a and e yesterday

back was driving me mad ended up at gp sun who gave me meds i can not have he said be ok with low dose well i was not ok lost it yesterday in so much pain with back and hip and this weird numbness i could hardly walk and put foot down so went a and e got a snotty nurse who booked me in waited hrs to see a dr who was nice gave me diazepam and naproxen for three days and a script to take to gp so seen gp today he said he did not want me take cocodamol said am not makes me ill he also said he should not take diaz with seroquel and i said had it together before also he told me not to take naproxen and take them to chemist he has given me ibuprofen gel which i have tried every heat pad every freeze and heat spray paracetamol and no help and i am keeping active so yet again left gp in tears really struggling to walk and look after my husband and he finding it hard to look after me

    You are in a pickle at the moment aren't you? A&E is not often an ideal solution as they don't know you as an individual, or the medical history, so of course they may prescribe the wrong meds and you have to be very careful with all the possible inter-actions don't you? Pain is very much a fact of life for so many of us - there is no easy or straightforward answer to it. I hope you are feeling a little better today. DD

    not really any better a and e dr checked to see if i could take them just got to find a way of coping

    That's what we all have to do, Trayce, and it isn't easy at times. It must be very hard right now for both you and your husband. I hope things improve soon.
    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Can't help with the pain, so just sending my best wishes and hoping you have a better day tomorrow. Have you got any friends or neighbours who could pop in for a chat over a cup of tea. I always find this helps me when I'm having a bad day.

    Hi,

    If your in that much pain then change your doctor to one that understands,
    I take co-codomol naproxen and diazepam on really bad days.

    My whole spine is o/a and i have fibromyalgia so i know how you feel,

    cocodamol make sme sick i got naproxen from a and e with diazepam but as you can see from my post gp says i can not take it
