Cycles

Has anyone else noticed a cyclical effect on their symptoms?

In both cases of trying two different dmards their 'effectiveness' coincided with the winter period and I think that my arthritis goes into a remission around then. It's so much worse in the summer and it wasn't until I met my boyfriend who has RA that I found someone else who has this problem. Everyone says the same old stuff about the cold and damp weather but I always embrace winter when my joints ease up and last year I even jogged!

Just wondering, as you do...Nx

I haven't noticed this but my RA is always worse in damp weather and windy weather (Must be something to do with barometric pressure as I don't even have to go out in it) and also very high temperatures, especially if humidity is high.

I'm fine in a real icy cold snap.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hi Nic
I have OA, but I have always said the hot weather is so much worse on the bones...this year it has been more noticeable...having had just an handful of hot days..I really have noticed the difference
I hope today is a good one for you xx
    Love

Yes, the hot days a while ago where a nightmare! The vampire I regularly see, there's one who knows where the good stuff is, said loads of arthritis patients were saying that they were absolutely beside themselves with the pain at that time.

Today has been lovely thanks Barbara, it's my folk's wedding anniversary and they invited me and OH (who they both adore - the last thirteen years prior to getting together with him saw some *not so nice* boyfriends...) for brunch at a local restaurant and a curry with the rest of the family this evening.
Hope today has been good for you too, just catching up on the forum while a bath runs...
