Hi
When I heard on the radio that John Lewis's profits had gone up in last couple of months I wasnt surprised as I heard the following information..
At the Olympics and Paralympics if you wanted to go into the John Lewis store to watch the sport then you were charged £30 to do so...I thought that was steep and a bit of a cheek to be honest...
Heard it from someone who has a son who lives in London and she was at Paralympics...She also said that the disappointing thing about it was the food on offer in the premises - all fast food as McDonalds was the sponsor, fish n chips and for a tiny bottle of water £1.60, £10 for a small fruit punch...

I read it was a fiver. If it goes to charity then I'd be happy to pay.
I'm not surprised their profits are up either I've spent loads in John Lewis recently!
Hope your hols went well Elaine.
