Well I had the Nuclear Scan on the knee it was inconclusive so among a lot of deliberation my Consultant is sending me for a second opinion. He said it is such a major op to redo the knee a second time and he is pretty sure it is loose but rather than just go in and causing me more pain he is sending me to his colleague to make sure I think he must be doubting himself although he didn't do the original knee replacement he said I was his 3rd case this week with the same problem nothing shows on xray or scan but when he operates the prosthesis is loose. So I suppose it's either the registrar who did it or the cement or joint is failing for whatever reason. I now go on the 20th of Oct which is just a year from when I went back with the knee The Hip replacement he did to rectify my knee in April plus 3mths of intense physio did not work it's a good job I have a high pain threshhold and I am a very patient patient excuse the pun. Heres to 2013 to fulfill my plans I was intending to do in 2012. Wendy

"3rd case this week " oh dear, I hope they find out quickly what is going wrong, people need to be made better not have to endure a second op and uncertainy.
    Good Luck.
Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan‏" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.

Oh no, what a palaver and how unfair. I sincerely hope that next year proves to be a darn sight better than this and that you will be able to do all the things you wish. Please let us know how you get on in October, yes? DD

Oh lordy, could it be that the hardware is substandard if he's come across the same problem three times already?

I wish you the very best of luck

You certainly are a patient patient, wendgro. Not that you've had much choice. It does sound as if there's a fault somewhere if others are going wrong too. I very much hope 2013 is a better year for you.

Hope 2013 is much better for you
You say you think he is doubting himself....maybe just being over-cautious.
    You are being very patient
    Good Luck
