Hello everyone,
I am a new member. I am a 47 yr old female with osteo-arthritis of my left ankle.
I had an arthroscopy 2wks ago which showed the disease has progressed to the degree where i need either an ankle replacement or an ankle fusion. I am so confused, i dont know which to go for. I am hoping to make contact with others who may have had either operation done, and find out how its worked for them.

    Hello Chris and welcome!

I'm sorry to hear about your OA and the difficult decision you have to make. It's hard isn't it when you don't really know what's best?

I know there are other forum members who have had fusions/replacements (not sure if ankle joints specifically tho') and if you repost your message on the Living With Arthritis (LWA) forum I am sure you will get some helpful replies - most of us look there regularly.

But please do join in anywhere - you will be made very welcome.

Hello Chris and welcome from me too. I can only echo what Tilly has said. She always gives good advice and I think if you re-post on LWA you'll get some answers. Good luck!
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
