Lovely side effect or intended result?

Hello everyone,
I gave in and started to take the medicine my doctor prescribed, and the effect is lovely!
I used to feel COLD COLD all the time, my stomach was cold both to the touch and just felt cold so I would sit with a hot water bottle under my jumper and one between my knees, now after 3 tablets I am as warm as toast and the pain is a LOT less, any one else had this effect? I like it!
The tabs were prescribed in April and are Naproxen 250 mg take 2 daily, I would not take them and only let the doc give me a prescription because I was in a lot of pain, then I chickened out, worried about side effects, then the pain was too bad and i have now taken a total of 9 tabs over a few days, then I found a box of Lansoprdzole 15mg Gastro resistant tabs which have the same date as the other tabs, I think the Fibro brain fog got me because I do not remember that I had them and was surprised to find them, I have not taken any of those yet because they seem to be to protect the stomach from harm from the Naproxen which so far has not upset my stomach the way the last anti infl tabs did.
I have a doctors appointment on Thursday so will have a chat then, as both tabs say not to take if you have high blood pressure, I have and am on Lisinopril 5 mg daily, I do get light headed which the Nap says can be a side effect and a few other listed side effects, but the heat is lovely!
If I have to stop taking them I may have to buy lots of thermol gear!
So annoying to find something that helps but I think the tingling in my left arm and hand and the light head may force me to stop taking them.

Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.

I took nap for many years, never had that effect but then I tend not to feel the cold much anyway.
If you've had stomach problems with one NSAID I do think you should take the lansop with any other as it's probably only going to be a matter of time before the stomach problems arrive.
Yes, please do discuss ALL of this with your doc. It might be perfectly OK to keep taking everything despite your BP meds but only a medical professional can tell you that.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Sticky Wicket,
I am going to have a lot to say to my poor doc on thursday I feel sorry for him already but there is so much I need to get sorted.
Did the Nap help you?
I think it has helped me but I am getting a few too many side effects that are a little worrying, left arm is heavy and I am due in work in a few hours, never easy this arthur lark.
Thank you.Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.0 -
Hi PowerOn, I'm pleased the meds are helping, but sorry about the other side effects. Maybe they won't last for long. I do hope you can carry on taking them, it's so good when a med helps.
All the best,

Hi Numpty,
I am a huge scardey cat when it comes to meds, way too vivid an imagination, I have also had a few operations that went wrong (not arthur related) and while a hospital patient saw too many things go wrong with other people.
I am not going to take any more as I have convinced myself they are affecting my heart, pressure in chest and a heavy left arm (having trouble typing) all sounds more alarming when written down but enough to make me wait and ask doc about it on Thursday.
There may be a different med to try out or physio is what I would prefer.

In that case PowerOn I think you're doing the best thing. You know your body better than anyone else.
All the best,
