Hi there....hope you are all well as can be

Been to see my gp about my moving, painful toes (they have been moving on their own for 2 weeks tomorrow). He has never seen it either, he has taken the podiatrists suggestion and referred me to a neurologist so just got to wait for appointment now. He has put me on dihydracodeine and taken me off codeine so hopefully my pain levels will reduce to something that I can cope better with. He asked if I had a prefference which hospital to be referred to and I said I didn't care, I just want some answers from somewhere!! Not sleeping properly so a little bit grumpy right now  .

Take care x Dee x

I hope the appointment comes through quickly, Dee. It sounds like a nightmare. At least your toes are getting plenty of exercise
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

It sounds a bit like when my toes cramp. If I haven't got my shoes and socks on I can see them moving in strange positions. It is very painful when it happens, which with me thankfully, is not too often.
I put it down to my spinal problems as I get all sorts of strange things happening in my legs with it.
I hope you get some answers soon.

Just adding my support. Having very sore feet and toes myself I can really sympathise.
Mine is partly nerve damage, partly arthritis and as pollysid mentioned partly coming down from my spine.
Hope you get an early appointment and a diagnosis soon and there is something to help you feel better. Joy

    Hi Dee

Like Pollysid says, I too put my toes on one foot or the other and either leg moving involuntarily, down to spinal problems. It is horrible and wakes me up or I cannot get to sleep as it happens when I am at rest. Sometimes when I sit in the day too. I hope you get some answers. Please let us know. It is a different sensation to Restless Leg Syndrome(RLS) or at least I think so as I suffer from that too periodically.

Glad you are being refered, maybe then you will get a solution. Could be that something like gagabpentin might help if it is nerves? It has helped my calf movements a bit anyways!

Can't bloomin believe it, right toes have started moving now so had both feet to contend with last night :x . I can actually feel the pain coming in my right foot, if you get what I mean. It starts from my knee, shoots down to ankle then to toes and thats when the dancing starts, so painful. Was up till 3 this morning with them, managed to get a few hours sleep but to top it off took my first dose of dihydrocodeine last night and had some very strange dreams and woke up quite anxious, had to tell myself to stop being silly and calm down. Will try them again tonight but if same happens will go back to taking codeine.
