I didn't mean to and I dont usually and it slipped out everytime he asked me how I was!
Embarrassed or what?
Thank goodness he laughed and maintained a professional manner.
@***:: sore everywhere, oopps soorry doc"
Oh Boy.
I could not help myself without meaning to, just so sore, one of those stay at home days but I had a docs appointment so I had to go.
Anyway upshot is he is one of the GPs I see sometimes and knows I usaully am very cheery so he kinda got message to do something.
Blood tests ordered to check Fbc esr crp uric acid bone profile rheumatoid factor.
Will get results on Monday.
Asked him about the oestrophyte in throat and he said ent had not said any follow up was necessary but as I think it has got bigger he is writting to them as in his opinion oestrophytes do not normally get noticed when swallowing.
I have to go out again, just wondered if anyone knows what any of those initals mean?
Will check in tomorrow.

I'm glad he's doing something. Sorry, I'm rubbish at initials - the only one I know is fbc - full blood count. There's a sticky thread on them, though, at the top of the page.

Sorry, forgot to reply to the initial;s bit! The ones I know are esr and cp - both used to see whether or not there is inflammation in the body (in my limited knowledge anyway), plus rheumatoid factor to see if there is the factor in the blood that indicates arthritis, although some people have no factor but have it anyway and some have the factor but don't have arthritis. The consultant told me that something like 75% of those tested with it had AR but the other 25% didn't.

It seems when you need to get a point across of how much pain we're in we have to drop the F bomb! now and again. I have got as far as 'bloody & 'bleeding' so far. But you never know when you need to get your G.P to understand!!

Thanks everyone, I totally forgot about the sticky, I had a look and I have even posted on it before!
I haven't rang for the results yet, I made an appointment to see the nurse, that way she can give me a print out of the results, last time I got results the receptionist was said to have given me the wrong information, it was only recently when I asked for my medical notes I found out the receptionist was correct.
vwkamper, was your arthritis diagonised through x rays?
