Hi All,So i had my first humira injection on tuesday morning, what i have noticed is knuckle definition on right hand, before it was just one swollen mound, the fingers still point to one side and i am not expecting this to change,I have this morning put my wedding ring on when we went out,i took it off when we got home but still i could get it on and off.We meet ohs sister on friday for coffee and a chat and she said that my hands didnt look so swollen and sore. Its so quick i just didnt expect anything to happen this fast,i havent had any side effects or injection site problems but its only been the first one,so fingers crossed i might be one of the lucky ones.Love to all Mig :D

Who knows, Mig? It could be and I really hope so. These are strong meds, my first humira injection reduced my inflammatory markers from the mid 90s to under 5 within two weeks. They've stayed that low ever since, sometimes they can't even measure it. Good luck! DD

    Hi Mig

I have only just seen this as I have been away.
What great news that you can now put on your wedding and that the swelliing seems to be going down :D

I have my fingers crossed that the humira keeps working for a very very long time. :D

I noticed a thumb joint swelling I had had for about a year previously went right down within days. Humira worked very quickly for me and continues to do so 4 years on from when i started in Oct 2008.

Hi, not been on here in ages but glad you are finding the Humira is working and I hope it continues. It has been a saviour for me as nothing else seemed to work but since being on this from April this year I have had a new lease of life. Ok I am very tired now and my hair is falling out but I can put up with that compared to all the pain and lack of movement I had and my pain score went from 11 down to 3 and no swollen joints this time either so I was mega chuffed. Good luck and will keep everything crossed for you on the Humira x

How lovely to read so many success stories.
I hope this continues for everyone.
Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan‏" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.
