Hi All

I applied for my blue badge and wasnt hopeful as others who were awaiting TKR had been turned down....Have been on holiday for 10 days and came back and had my new badge so its a relief for me!
I go in for TKR on 25th October and have an information session on Tuesday 16thOctober, also have to try and see the anaesthetist as i have an auto immune disease...Its all going so fast but i am as ready as I can be.....

A bit of good news...

Thats fantastic Elaine it certainly makes all the difference, especially for hospital appointments as you know they are all a nightmare for parking, you can usually always get a disabled space.............Marie

That's good news about the badge, Elaine.

It had never occurred to me that anaesthetists need to know about auto-immune stuff although mine always come up for a natter. I just thought it was routine but it does make sense. Certainly anyone with asthma needs to let anaesthetists know.
