My OH is a miner and was on the early shift today and has to get up at 3.30am so there I was, in bed last night, doing my relax.....relax....chantra (as you do) when the bedside light comes on. "Are you ok" oh asks. "yes fine" I say "are you sure" he says "well, apart from toes doing a dance and my hip bloomin killing me I'm fine lol, why?" I say. And he says "because you're lying too still" You just can't win  .

At least he asked how you were - that's not to be sniffed at, believe you me! Hats off to him though - that's a tough job. I hope things are not too bad for you today. DD

I know bless him, and yes he always asks how I am but seems to be able to sense when things are worse than "normal" so no, can't fault him for that. He always rings me on his way back from work and the first thing he asks is "what's your day been like" the second thing he asks is "whats for dinner" .

DD...Toes are still dancing, been a month now with no let up so really fed up now. They are not too bad in the day, I think because I can distract myself so don't think about them too much but the nights are terrible, and they seem to get worse (feels like someone is trying to pull my toes off) and move more so dread going to bed now.

Hope you are managing to shrug off your dreadful cold.

Bless that man! He's doing his best. It can't be the most soothing thing to say though when you're wide awake and .... er.....chanting. At least he gets the questions in the right order when he's coming home.

I wonder if you are the first person in the world to have something along the lines of restless toes syndrome. I'm serious, it must be very hard to live with and the answer to this does seem to be lacking. DD

As you can see I'm still waiting to go to sleep, I'm exhausted, not in pain just aching and can't get comfortable whilst my better Half snores like a train. The sleep sheep are jumping back over the fence and are going home even they've given up! Lol
I have great choices in my meds temazpam to sleep or morphine for pain so I either stay awake but not in pain or sleep for max 4 hrs and wake up In agony.

Oh Loulou these sleep sheep are not very accomodating sometimes are they. And snoring husbands really don't help  .

DD....there is a condition call "painful leg, moving toe syndrome" but it is very rare. I did tell the gp about this (yes....I googled it) and he did say how do they treat it then and I said "not very well" but it can stem from the spine, pelvis area, something to do with nerve damage hence the neurology appointment. They are still on the go and more annoying every minute but there is literally nothing I can do but wait for the neuro appointment and see if they can shed some light on it all. My back and sacro area is so sore at the moment so I'm almost sure it all stems from there.

Take care and I hope your cold/flu is getting better now. Denise x
