Back from the hospital and a brilliant appointment!

Examined and listened to - a novelty! Not told that I'm depressed or not qualified enough to understand test results...

I passed the DAS today and have another booked for a months time for second assessment.

Good stuff!

Nic x

Good. Positive appointments are always a good thing.

Thanks everyone! It makes a massive difference to me that I wasn't patronized or fobbed off again.

I do have to have a month off wine to get my levels down after they were a bit high on methotrexate. He wants me back on a low dose with a biologic if I pass the test again next month. They do seem to be going out of their way to do things now, whether it is the ongoing complaint I have in place or I have suddenly become much worse in their eyes is anyone's guess. He said he'd also sent me a letter but didn't say what it was about.

He also queried the PsA diagnosis and then said that whatever we decide it's called it still needs to be treated. Really so much more confidence in this bloke!

Off to have a fizzy pop instead of wine with the folks now...

So glad you had a good appt Nic, It's nice when you can talk to the Consultant and both be on the same page. And have your views listened to and questions answered. And come away feeling happy. A month off wine isn't a bad thing! You can get non-alcoholic wine! It tastes like rats p**s! A month will fly by!
