Hi
Nothing much to say at the moment. I was in the hospital 2 hours roughly {good} Had a sedative then these root nerve blocks.
They were put in my back.......I was wheeled back to my cubicle and when I went to lift that leg i couldnt move it.....but gradually it got better. A little bit sore but I suppose thats to be expected.....I take it I wont know for a while yet whether it has done any goood or not.
Love

I hope it works, Hileena. Sounds like it's feet up time for you nowIf at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I've never had this type of injection but my thinking is that they would run along the same lines as steroid ones so rest for a good 24 hours at least to give them a chance to sink in to the joint so they can really help. I think that our joints (yup, all of 'em ) were never designed to be 'pressure-washed' with modern meds so it's no wonder they feel worse before they feel better. Good luck my lovely, I hope things feel better soon. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I hope they work for you.
I had facet joint injections and an epidural at the end of May. Mine took a couple of weeks to really work and then I had two unbelievable months! The leg pain went pretty much straight away for me. My back was worse for a few days and then after two weeks my back pain melted away too. I hadn't realised how much I was just getting on with the pain until it went.
I used my window to springboard my fitness routine. I can't manage to do as much now but still more than pre injections.
I really hope they work for you - the window is has such a good view if they work!
Oh yeah, my surgeon said to take it easy for a few days afterwards and not to go mad on the exercise etc for 4 weeks or so. And the usual no bending, lifting or twisting.
Good luck.0 -
Hi
Well this is the first morning after the injection and I dont really know what to expect. They still argue that its referred pain from back to hip and the others says referred pain from hip to back?????
Toni ....you mentioned facet injections......apparently if this doesnt work thats the next step.
I wasnt told much about what to do or not do....except not drive for a couple of days and have someone with me for the first 24 hrs. A leaflet i was given said "you should be able to go back to work in a couple of day"
I have been doing about 1 hr of avon paper work and discovered that afterwards My "back" was sore.....well.....top of right buttock!!!!
I was also told at the consultation about this that it was possible it would help my mobility as well as my pain but no one has told me how much to push my self and if I dont walk much how do I know what difference it has made??????
I'm sorry I'm rambling.....but just looking a a pain diary they gave me to fill in for 2 weeks.....its very specific....right leg {not back} is it better worse etc and there is no space worth talking about to put comments in.
So I'm just going to keep scribbling on on a pad and then try to do it on the computer to take back......saying what I had done that made it sore etc
Once again...thanks for listening to this ramble

Ramble away, girl I often find it's my ramblings that enable me to work out what I really think and feel.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Hileena
You ramble all you want, if anyone understands its me...dont you just wish it was more straight forward...hips or back I do hope you get some relief from the injections xxLove

Hello Hileena. Do hope the injections will help and pain will settle down soon for you. I do know what back pain is like, it just affects everything you want to do. You need to rest and let it settle. Take care. Beryl0
