I thought I would share this, I had a leaflet through the door and royal mail are saying if you receive Pension Credit, employment or support allowance or incapacity benefit that you will be able to get upto 36 stamps at Christmas 2011 prices that is first or second class stamps.

the offer is only available from 6 november to 24 december

Additional vouchers are available on the website

www.royalmail.com/stampoffer

I thought I would post this as it might help.

Though I wasnt too sure where I needed to post this, so if it needs moving, Mods can you sort it out please.

Cheers

Julie

I'm not sure I agree that we should get discount on stamps, don't get me wrong, every little helps lol but I just don't get why.
I would much rather stamps just go down in price for everyone, like a stamp sale?
Just think it's wrong that because we are on benefits (I know we're not all on them) we should get cheap stamps.

Thanks to bounce for the info though

Hi Julie. I see you are in the 'Garden of England' too. Am wondering whereabouts you are? Yes, I've had leaflet. You need to take proof of receiving the benefit with you when you go to the Post Office to purchase the stamps, but I intend to take advantage of it. As the slogan goes - 'every little helps'! Hope others will see your post and use it too. Beryl

    Hi,

I thought there would be mixed reactions to this news, but I am in agreement with Tony about they should reduce the price of the stamps for all, but in their own way I think the snail mail are trying to help,
each individual can make their choice whether to use it or not,

Beryl, I live in Ashford though some of the scallywags that live here have nicknamed it "Trashford". :-I lol. its great in town if you like estate agents in particular. lol.

Nice one Airwave for spreading this news as well, but its making sure that more people can see this information.

    Cheers
